The Honorable John McCain
Dear Senator McCain,
I want to thank you so much for your comments of support in my campaign against John Kerry.
However, today I am writing you not about my race, but about your election as our President.
With that as my goal and sole purpose for this letter, I write you to ask that your most favorable consideration be given to the selection of Mitt Romney as your Vice President and running mate.
Our country faces two great challenges: a National Security challenge and a challenge to our National Economy. I believe that your leadership as President and the experience of a Vice President Mitt Romney is the combination that will ensure America meets those twin challenges successfully. More importantly, I believe that Americans far and wide will come to this same conclusion and vote accordingly for the team that will best protect their families, protect their jobs and protect our country.
In addition, I plan to deliver Massachusetts and its 12 Electoral Votes by getting out the vote and replacing John Kerry in the United States Senate.
