    Jeff Beatty Grenada Airfield Wounded

Jeff Beatty (on right - still wearing his stained US Flag), midday during Grenada rescue mission stops for a quick photo with Army gunship pilot at Salinas airfield. Beatty is covered in fuel, oil and blood from the shooting down of the Blackhawk he and his men were riding in. Beatty delayed treatment for his own wounds until he had safely evacuated all his men from the first "BlackhawK Down" and then help secure the perimeter around the several hundred American Medical Students who were rescued.
