Memo for Friends and Supporters of the Beatty for U.S. Senate Campaign

Another week has come and gone and the pace continues to build. Thank you all for your continued support. As the campaign heats up I’d like to remind all of you that if you have a friend, colleague or relative you think would be interested in joining or learning more about the campaign, please feel free to forward them this email so they can stay up to date on our progress as well.

State-wide Signature Drive

Our biggest priority these past weeks has been collecting signatures to get on the ballot. My team and I have been crisscrossing Massachusetts, meeting with people across the state and gathering signatures. This past weekend’s signature blitz far exceeded our expectations and we are well on our way to the primary. However, we are not there yet, so if you’d like to help, we could really use it! Please sign up here, or contact James, my Chief of Staff, at james@jeffbeatty.com.

FEC Campaign Filing Report

We made some headlines with our FEC report which shows us at a 3:1 advantage over my primary opponent, Jim Ogonowski. We proudly announced our financial footing to the media and the Boston Herald declared the primary race a "GOP dogfight."

Campaign Review
Since my last email, I’ve met with some very enthusiastic college crowds at Boston College and Framingham State. I also unveiled my Summer Gas Tax plan at a Meet and Greet with the Concord GOP and interviewed with Brockton radio station WXBR 1460, where we discussed issues regarding the economy and national security. Be sure to check out my blog in the coming months, as I will be posting more plans and ideas and welcome comments and discussion.

Upcoming Events
You can find out where I’ll be through the events page on my website, or my Facebook profile. Here are a few of the events we have planned for the next couple of weeks:

  • 24 April – A meeting with the College Republicans at Babson College at 7 PM.  Call (781) 354-9896 for details.
  • 26 April – The Framingham Candidate’s Breakfast at 8 AM.  Call (508) 820-0696 for more information.

We still have much work ahead of us and I am always looking for opportunities to fundraise, receive endorsements and employ volunteers. Thank you for your continued support, and feel free to contact me or my Chief of Staff, James, with any questions about the campaign or volunteer opportunities. And keep any eye out for the next newsletter on May 6th!
