Jeff Beatty Bio

Jeff  was born in Passaic N.J. in 1952 and was adopted at birth by Christine and Ray Beatty.

Ray was a World War II veteran who landed in Normandy on D+10 and fought in the Battle of The Bulge. Christine, meanwhile, worked in a defense factory making fire extinguishers for the Navy. Being raised by loving, adoptive parents, both of whom were connected to service for their country, Jeff’s own desire to serve his country developed early and continues to be a motivating factor to this day.

Growing up a family of modest means in New Jersey, Jeff's and his parents would save to vacation on Cape Cod each year. In 1973 their love for the area grew too strong to ignore and they purchased the home of their dreams in Harwich.

While playing on his High School baseball team Jeff sustained a severe injury to his foot requiring significant surgery that left him wheelchair bound and on crutches for nearly six months. Adversity was made into a personal challenge for Jeff at a young age, despite the doctors warnings and the physical demands required to fulfill his dreams, Jeff enrolled in ROTC, worked his way through college, including time as a card carrying Teamster, and graduated from Rutgers in 1974.  Jeff then joined the Army and eventually was one of only eighty serving in the elite DELTA FORCE.  The service to his country had begun.

Jeff is a former DELTA FORCE, Assault Troop Commander and Operations Officer 1981-1983.  He led his unit on several deployments and was commended for saving lives in the rescue of hundreds of American Students in Grenada from Cuban and Grenadian captors. And was awarded the purple heart for injuries sustained during this deployment. His most prized Military award is the CIB (Combat Infantry Badge)

Jeff was recruited by the FBI to serve as a Special Agent and a special advisor to the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) with emphasis on security for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics (1983-1985).  If a Munich type terrorist attack had occurred at the Los Angeles Olympics, Jeff’s job was to plan the rescue.

Jeff then went on to the CIA Counterterrorism Center. As a CIA Operations Officer (1985-1992), Jeff served at several locations in Europe and in the Middle East, where he mounted several successful operations against terrorist groups responsible for the deaths of Americans including the thwarting of a terrorist attack.

In 1992, Jeff founded www.TotalSecurity.US and ran it for over a dozen years .  A firm specializing in Anti-Terrorism plans, training, consulting and special products.  Total Security.US concentrates it efforts in Transportation, Homeland Security and violence in Schools and Workplaces. On a Global scale Mr. Beatty and www.TotalSecurity.US   worked on major international meetings and special events like the Rose Bowl and Rose Parade, Superbowl, Asian Development Bank, BIOTECH and 4 Olympics.

Jeff Beatty is a Businessman and Veteran.  He is the only American to have served in all three of our most elite Counter-Terrorism organizations (DELTA FORCE, FBI HRT and CIA CTC).

Jeff lives in Harwich, MA with his dog Buddy.  Jeff loves dogs and in addition to Jack Russell Buddy, has rescued several dogs - most recently a Belgian Malinois named Major BO.  Major BO had been abandoned and was going to receive lethal injection in 72 hours. This situation came to Jeff’s attention and he immediately made the commitment, spent the funds out of pocket, flew to Florida and saved Major BO who is now placed with a great family on Cape Cod..

For relaxation Jeff enjoys motorcycling, fishing from Red River Beach in Harwich, a good Red Sox, Celtics or Patriots game and golf.  For more information see www.jeffbeatty.com
